Patricia Jennings Shelden, 82, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.



Pat was born in Elmira, NY, March 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Uri and Cleora Jennings. She was a loving, strong woman who had a wonderful sense of humor. Pat was an excellent cook who enjoyed Sunday family dinners. She loved her children, grandchildren and siblings, especially her sister Punky. Patricia Jennings Shelden, 82, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.



Pat was born in Elmira, NY, March 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Uri and Cleora Jennings. She was a loving, strong woman who had a wonderful sense of humor. Pat was an excellent cook who enjoyed Sunday family dinners. She loved her children, grandchildren and siblings, especially her sister Punky. Pat was preceded in death by her former husband, Donald Shelden; a son, Patrick Shelden and three sons in laws, David Clark, Chris Grantham and John Allen.



Surviving are thirteen children, Donald Shelden and wife Colleen, Pamela Hager and husband Ed, Bill Shelden and wife Marci, Ed Shelden and wife Debby, Chris Shelden and wife Jodi, Mike Shelden and wife Debbie, Kathleen Allen, Nancy Shelden and Barbara Cox, April Grantham, Alison Allred and husband Michael, Maureen Siewert and husband Karsten, Patty Lange and husband Matthew, and Debbie Shelden; a sister, Valacia Tarntino; two brothers, Walter Jennings and wife Helen and James Jennings and wife June; 48 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her four legged friends, Sophie and Mac.



A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held Monday 1 pm in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Sizemore. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12 noon until the service. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or any local animal shelter.
